A 28-year-old man was shot yesterday in New Orleans while sitting in his car in a Walgreens Pharmacy Drive Thru.  He was taken to the hospital where he died.

A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed while trying to flee on his bicycle in Chicago’s West Humboldt Park neighborhood yesterday.  The victim, Jeremy Baggett, and a friend were fired upon by someone across the street.  Jeremy attempted to escape on his bike but was shot through the neck.  Police called for paramedics; however, Jeremy was dead when paramedics arrived.  Baggett was a sophomore at Orr Academy High School.

Jeremy was not legally allowed to carry a gun for protection.  Consequently, our gun laws made Jeremy the victim.

A black man’s body was found early Wednesday morning on Highway 176 in South Carolina.  The man had been shot in the head and then dragged almost eleven miles, leaving a blood trail all the way from where the body was found, near an Elementary School, to the mobile home of Gregory Collins, 19.  Collins has been charged with murder.

Collins had a legal right to own a gun.

A 16-year-old girl who was shot in the head in the little town of Greenbelt, Maryland, on Monday, died yesterday.  She had remained in critical condition until her death.

A 16-year-old has no legal right to carry a gun as a defensive weapon.

Billy Eugene Moore, 54, of Littleville, Alabama, was on his riding lawn mower cutting his grass yesterday when his neighbor left his home, walked into nearby woods, and shot Moore twice, killing him.  Moore’s wife claims to have witnessed the shooting.  The reason for the shooting is thought to be over a property dispute.

Joseph Piper Sr., 36, of Calumet, PA, shot his wife and 16-year-old daughter last night.  His daughter ran for help and flagged down a passing motorist, and Piper shot and killed the motorist, Stacey Feiling, 42, as his daughter was getting in the passenger side of Feiling’s car.

Joseph Piper has a legal right to own a handgun.  His daughter does not.

A 12-year-old boy has miraculously survived being shot in the face while playing Russian Roulette with a 15-year-old and a 19-year-old in Orange County, FL.  Christian Cardona was shot yesterday and is listed in stable condition.
