Joel Sheehy, 21, son of Nebraska Lt. Governor, Rick Sheehy, accidentally shot himself in the face Wednesday night while handling his 9-mm Glock in his apartment.  He is expected to be okay.  He is reported to have taken hunter’s safety classes.  Luckily, the bullet did not kill someone in an adjoining apartment.  Being the son of the Lt. Governor, it is unlikely that he will be charged with discharging a firearm in a dwelling or reckless endangerment.

By the way, can you accidentally beat someone to death with a tire iron?
